The Department of Sociology at Boston University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor for AY 2022-2023. This is a one-year, non-renewable position. We are looking for a colleague who has a strong background in sociological theory and who can also teach courses in at least one of the following areas: Gender and Sexualities; Urban Sociology; Global Sociology and Immigration. A PhD in sociology along with demonstrated success in undergraduate teaching are required. The position will require teaching four courses per year at the undergraduate and graduate levels; this will include one or more sections of Sociological Theory.
