POSITION: Assistant Professor of Computer Science

EFFECTIVE DATE: August 20, 2018 (Fall Semester)

SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D in Computer Science or a closely related field.
Specialization in the area of Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Data Analysis, or a closely related field.
Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2018.
Demonstrated potential for effective teaching at the college level. Record of or demonstrated potential for successful research and scholarly activity.
Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population
	
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level. 
Experience in teaching courses in the area of Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Data Analysis. 
Demonstrated ability and clear plans for the development of a research program and curriculum in the area of Machine Learning or Computer Vision. 
Demonstrated interdisciplinary research experience. Demonstrated ability to supervise student projects, develop academic programs, 
update curriculum, supervise students' theses, and actively participate in university governance. 
Demonstrated interest in contributing to the mission of the department, college, and university. Postdoctoral experience.

DUTIES:	Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses. Establish and sustain a record of research, scholarly and creative activities. 
Participate in service to the department, college, university, and community.

•	Finalists will also be required to submit a signed SC-1 form, three current letters of recommendation and an official transcript


A background check (including a criminal records check and telephone reference check with most recent employer) 
must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
