Description:

The Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures at The Ohio State University invites applications for a position at the rank of tenure-track assistant professor. We seek an innovative scholar and effective teacher whose research engages with twentieth- and/or twenty-first-century German culture. We welcome all qualified applicants and are especially interested in scholars with expertise in migration studies, new media, transnational literatures, gender and sexuality studies, or environmental humanities.

Qualifications:

This appointment will begin August 15, 2023, and the successful candidate will have native or near-native fluency in German and English and will productively contribute to teaching in our undergraduate and graduate programs. Applicants should expect to hold a Ph.D. in German Studies or a related field by the appointment start date. ABDs are welcome to apply.
