The Kavli IPMU invites applicants for a postdoctoral position in the field of experimental physics of radiation imaging in particular with respect to high resolution single photon emission tomography. The successful candidate is expected to have experiences for designing and manufacturing hard X-ray and gamma-ray semiconductor imagers with a sub-mm spatial resolution for small animal or accelerator experiments, and experiences of gamma-ray image reconstruction with a pin hole collimator or a coded mask. Understanding of response from semiconductor detectors is also required. The applicant should have a Ph.D. in physics.

The appointment will start from April 1, 2019 and is for two years without an extension foreseen.
