Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position supported jointly by Professors David Huse and Shivaji Sondhi (Princeton), Vedika Khemani (Stanford) and Roderich Moessner (Max Planck Institute, Dresden).  We expect the postdoc to be primarily based at Stanford, with semi-regular research visits to Princeton and Dresden. 

Topics of interest include non-equilibrium quantum dynamics, many-body localization, periodically driven (Floquet) systems and novel non-equilibrium phases of matter, including time-crystals. 

Candidates should have a PhD in theoretical condensed matter physics or a closely related field, be highly motivated, and have a strong background in analytical and/or numerical methods.

The appointment includes a competitive salary and benefits, and discretionary funds for research and/or travel expenses.  The position will begin Fall 2019 and can be renewed annually for up to three years contingent upon satisfactory performance.
