The Department of Speech & Hearing Science within the College of Arts and Sciences seeks a Clinical Assistant Professor to join our team. This position is a 12-month, non-tenure track position based in Columbus, Ohio. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university. The successful candidate will have a master’s, SLP.-D, or Ph.D. in Speech-Language Pathology, will be eligible for Ohio licensure in Speech-Language Pathology, and hold the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology. The candidate should have substantial (3-5 years+)professional experience in speech sound, receptive and expressive language, and literacy disorders. Relevant professional experience in mentoring students and/or novice SLPs is required. Applicant should have demonstrated the potential to work with both clinical and tenure-track faculty in advancing the clinical education mission of the department; prior experience as a clinical supervisor/preceptor is expected. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students in an on-campus Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic with a caseload that is commensurate with qualifications and experience; teaching clinical practicum seminars; identifying and helping to develop off-campus practicum placements and partnerships for students; participating and serving on department committees; and engaging in scholarship.
