The High Energy Physics group at the Florida State University in Tallahassee invites applications for a postdoctoral position in theoretical high energy physics with emphasis on precision calculations for collider physics. The position will start in Fall 2021 and will be for two years, contingent upon funding, with a possible extension for a third year.

Our theory group has four faculty members: Fernando Febres Cordero, Takemichi Okui, Laura Reina, and Kohsaku Tobioka, three postdocs, and several graduate students. Research interests of the group include collider physics, the computation of radiative corrections in field theories, and physics beyond the Standard Model.

This position will focus on modern techniques for the computation of multi-loop scattering amplitudes for precision physics at the LHC. The applicants will be encouraged to collaborate with local PhD students and postdocs as well as to take advantage of the ample expertise in theoretical and experimental particle physics in the Physics Department. The position may also offer teaching and mentoring opportunities to be discussed and agreed upon with the candidates.

The application should include a cover letter, a CV, a research statement and a list of publications. The applicant should also arrange for at least three letters of recommendation to be submitted through the same portal. Priority will be given to applications received by December 11, 2020, when the process of reviewing applications will start. Submissions will be considered until the positions are filled.
