Chapman University’s Schmid College of Science and Technology seeks applications for a part-time lecturer for BCHM 350: Medicinal Chemistry, an elective in the Biochemistry undergraduate curriculum to be taught in the spring semester of 2019. This course is taken by science majors, especially in the fields of chemistry, biochemistry and pre-pharmacy.

The instructor will teach two 1 hour and 15 minutes lectures per week throughout the semester (3 credits). Additional responsibilities include choosing a text book, developing a syllabus, preparing and administering quizzes and midterm and final exams, grading exams and assignments, and providing office hours. The instructor must be available to attend a half day orientation at the beginning of the semester.


A Ph.D. or M.S. degree in a field related to medicinal chemistry, such as medicinal chemistry itself, organic chemistry, pharmacology, biochemistry, or related fields is required.
