The Computational, Mathematical and Statistical Sciences community at Duke University in Durham, NC invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level to begin July 1, 2020 or later.

Candidates must have exceptional research achievements and evidence of high-quality teaching. The successful candidate could be appointed in a number of different units or departments depending on university resources and on the candidate’s background and interests including: the Departments of Mathematics; Statistical Science; Computer Science; the Pratt School of Engineering, or the Fuqua School of Business. Joint appointments are also possible.

Candidates from all specialties in optimization, broadly defined, are encouraged to apply. This includes candidates working on statistical methodology, theory, modeling and/or algorithm development who incorporate optimization as a strong component of their work.
