We invite applications for a postdoc position at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in the field of theoretical astroparticle physics with emphasis on neutrino oscillation phenomenology. The position will be placed within the group of theoretical astroparticle physics at KIT lead by Thomas Schwetz and the candidate is supposed to work on a project related to CP and T violation in neutrino oscillations. A lively research environement is available at KIT, including active groups in theoretical high energy physics (LHC phenomenology, flavour physics, Higgs physics, QFT) as well as several groups in experimental particle and astroparticle physics (KATRIN, XENON, DARWIN, Pierre Auger, IceCube, CMS, Belle-2).

The position is initially offered for two years and can be extended for one more year, subject to satisfactory performance. An applicant should have a PhD degree in a relevant area obtained prior to the start of the position and previous experience in neutrino phenomenology. The position should start at latest September 2023, or any time before that (to be agreed on).

Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae including a brief research statement and a publication list. They should also arrange for two or three letters of recommendation. Applications are accepted until the position is filled. Review of applications will start on 14 November 2022.

We aim to balance the number of female and male employees. We therefore especially encourage women to apply for this job. Applicants with disabilities will be preferentially considered if equally qualified.
