Chapman University’s graduate program in Physician Assistant Studies seeks applications for a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor. Successful candidates will begin in the Spring of 2018. 

The program is located on the Rinker Health Science campus in Irvine, California. The new campus is designed to foster an inter-professional educational environment and to use cutting-edge technology in teaching and practice. The new facilities will feature state-of-the-art facilities, including human cadaver anatomy laboratory, advanced learning center with innovative technology, Grand Rounds Auditorium, multi-sized classrooms, conference rooms, and inter-professional, collaborative centers. The campus is home to several current accredited, graduate health science professional programs, including Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and the Doctor of Pharmacy. The Rinker campus is strategically located near numerous health service, medical device, and bio-pharmaceutical companies.

Graduate of a fully accredited PA Program. NCCPA Certified. Master’s degree required. Eligibility for California licensure as a PA. 

Preference will be given to candidates who also hold a second graduate degree such as PhD, Ed.D., DHsc, MPH, M.S., or other graduate degree that would complement the PA program. 

Experience in teaching, research, inter-professional education and incorporating technology into teaching and professional practice is highly desirable. 


Teach in area(s) of expertise, advise PA students, participate in inter-professional educational experiences, assist in curriculum development and assessment, create course syllabi, advise students, provide professional and academic service, participate in University and community service, maintain clinical competency, assist in accreditation, direct and co-direct course(s) in curriculum, clinical site recruitment, assist in admissions process, participate in ongoing program self-evaluation, assessment and improvement, participate in scholarly activities, participate in student society within program, develop teaching strategies, and, any othertasks/responsibilities as directed by the Program Director and/or Dean of Crean College of Health & Behavioral Sciences.
