The lattice field theory group of Prof. Anthony Francis at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University is seeking applications for a postdoctoral researcher position funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Taiwan.
The starting date is flexible and can be as early as October 2022. The position has a duration of 2 years with the possibility of extension by 1 year. There are no teaching requirements associated with the position and it carries its own travel grant that can be further topped up with individual and group funds.
The lattice effort at NYCU is composed of several students and postdocs as well as the two faculty members, Prof. C.-J. David Lin and Prof. Anthony Francis. We are interested in a broad range of topics in lattice quantum field theory and other non-perturbative approaches. The group collaborates closely with efforts in the USA, Europe, South Korea and Japan.
The search is looking for researchers interested in broadly defined topics in QCD hadron spectroscopy and structure. There are running programs on heavy tetraquarks and QCD gauge generation through the open lattice initiative (https://openlat1.gitlab.io). Applicants interested in studying exotic hadrons/distribution functions or participating in the effort to generate new gauge ensembles/master-fields are particularly encouraged to apply. All successful applicants are invited to join these efforts as well as develop or refine their own research programs.
To be considered, please provide a cover letter, CV, research statement, publication list and arrange for 3 reference letters. We are accepting applications through academicjobsonline.org or via email. In case of submission via email or for informal inquiries please contact:
Prof. Anthony Francis at afrancis [at] nycu.edu.tw
The applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
I am looking forward to hearing from you! |
