Faculty Position in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics University of Minnesota

The School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, invites applications for a tenure-track position in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics, in the area of quantum materials. The appointment is expected to be at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. in physics and should have demonstrated the potential to conduct a vigorous and significant research program as evidenced by their publication record and supporting letters from recognized leaders in the field. The ability to teach physics effectively at both the graduate and undergraduate levels is required. The candidate should be dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, and should be committed to working well with others. Condensed matter physics is a major research area at the University of Minnesota that involves 18 faculty members. In 2014, the experimental condensed matter group moved into a new building with state-of the-art laboratory space, which is part of an institutional commitment to physics and nanoscience by the university.
