The Department of Applied Physics at Stanford University invites applications for the 2022 Karel Urbanek and the Marvin Chodorow Postdoctoral Fellowships.

This annual program is aimed at recruiting young scientists of exceptional ability with the potential to do outstanding research in our department. The appointment includes 2 years of support with a competitive salary and benefits, and the competition is open to both theorists and experimentalists.

Applications and supporting credentials must be submitted through Academic Jobs online https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/20222. Candidates are asked to submit a curriculum vitae including publication list, and a two-page research statement that details proposed research and possible collaborations within Applied Physics. Candidates should also arrange to have two letters of reference submitted.

Candidates are also required to identify one or more host faculty within Applied Physics with whom they have discussed their proposed research. The primary host should upload a nomination letter via AJO before the application due date. (Three letters in total are required.)

The deadline for applications for the 2021-2022 competition will be 12:00 noon PST on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. We expect to be able to make offers to successful candidates in early 2022. Appointments are expected to begin during the period June – December 2021.
