The Division of Pharmacology at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy invites applications for two full-time non-tenure-track Lecturer positions to teach undergraduate, graduate, and/or health professional science courses. The ability to teach as either a sole instructor or as part of a multidisciplinary team is expected. The successful candidate will have demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence and instructional innovation.

Teaches or supervises up to the equivalent of 4 undergraduate and or graduate/professional pharmacology courses per semester; assists in supervising and mentoring graduate teaching assistants (GTAs); attends program and college faculty meetings; serves on college committees; continuously develops teaching skills; supports efforts for the scholarship of teaching and learning

Duties Description 90% - Develops course content, student assignments, syllabi, instructional materials, and delivery components; delivers instruction and or supervision to undergraduate, professional and/or graduate students; incorporates effective instructional technology into course delivery; grades papers, assessments and exams; utilizes features of OSU’s course management system (Carmen) to share course material and enhance the course experience; uses online Faculty Center to manage grade rosters and submit grades; holds regular office hours and student review sessions; engages in teaching skills development; assists with the training, supervision, mentoring, and evaluation of GTAs. 10% - Serves on college- and university-level committees; participates in co-curricular activities as needed.

Applicants must have at least a master’s degree in a pharmaceutical science or related discipline, with a preference given to those with a degree in pharmacology.
