Merrimack College’s School of Education & Social Policy is seeking an Assistant Professor, tenure track, to teach content, pedagogical and assessment strategies for effective mathematics instruction based upon the guidelines in the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework starting in the Fall 2018. The successful candidate should have experience working in K-12 mathematics classrooms, use instructional technology effectively, and have successfully taught at the post-secondary level. Coursework focuses on preparing early childhood, elementary education and moderate disabilities candidates to be effective mathematics teachers for culturally and linguistically diverse students.

Qualified applicants should have successful experience in undergraduate teaching, advising, supervision of field experiences, and development of new courses and programs. Experience with hybrid and online teaching is desirable. Doctoral candidates, who will complete a doctoral degree in 2017 or 2018, will be considered. Deadline for applications is November 15, 2017. Applications should be submitted by this date in order to be considered. Review of applications will begin immediately thereafter and screening will continue until the position is filled.
