The Department of Particle Physics at Tel Aviv University invites applications for tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in theoretical and experimental high-energy, nuclear and astroparticle physics. Highly qualified candidates with a Ph.D. and an outstanding research record are encouraged to submit their applications.
In particular, women and other members of underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply. Areas of relevant research include physics beyond the Standard Model, dark matter physics, cosmology, astroparticle physics, collider physics, neutrino physics, QCD, nuclear physics, fundamentals of quantum mechanics, string theory, holography, quantum field theory, quantum gravity, quantum information and detector physics.
The theory group includes Yakir Aharonov, Naftali Auerbach, Michael Geller, David Horn, Lawrence Horwitz, Nissan Itzhaki, Marek Karliner, Evgeny Levin, Shmuel Nussinov, Yaron Oz, Benni Reznik, Amit Sever, Cobi Sonnenschein, Benjamin Svetitsky, Lev Vaidman, Tomer Volansky, and Shimon Yankielowicz. Our experimental group participates in numerous collaborations, including the LHC (ATLAS), Belle II, DUNE, MicroBooNE, SENSEI, NASDUCK, LUXE and Mathusla. The group members are: Halina Abramowicz, Adi Ashkenazi, Liron Barak, Gideon Bella, Erez Etzion, Itzhak Kelson, Aharon Levy, Jechiel Lichtenstadt, Eli Piasetzky, Ishay Pomerantz and Abner Soffer.
Interested applicants should submit a CV, list of publications and a research statement. In addition, at least three letters of recommendation should be provided.
