The Lecturer in Product Management and Graduate Program Director (herein called Program Director) is a non-tenure track open-ended academic appointment with administrative responsibilities. The Program Director leads all matters involving program development, courses, assessment, strategic planning, hiring adjunct faculty, advising, accreditation, budget management, marketing, and student recruitment for the Product Management Online Graduate Program. Additionally, the Program Director is expected to develop external advisory relationships with area employers. The Program Director will devote a significant proportion of their time to teaching and creating integrated professional “real world” experiences that enhance the comprehensive educational and professional training required of graduate students at the College as they prepare for the demands of the contemporary workforce or pursuit of advanced degrees. This is a 12- month position, reporting to the Chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, with up to 32-credit hours of teaching responsibilities/year and the program director will be expected to serve the administrative needs of the summer teaching activities of the program.


Candidates must have an M.S. in engineering or a related field. A minimum 10 years of experience in engineering, science, or technology is required, including at least 3 years in a leadership position. PhD and some academic experience, including online education, is preferred. This position requires strong communication, collaboration, and consensus-building skills, and the ability to tactfully and effectively respond to and handle a broad range of high level and sensitive interpersonal situations. Permanent US work authorization and/or US Citizenship is required.
