Position Overview: The Department of Computer Science at Merrimack College invites applications for an open-ended full-time, non-tenure-track position in computer science at the rank of Assistant Instructional Professor starting August 2021. Responsibilities include teaching four courses per semester (16 contact hours) and holding four scheduled office hours per week. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to teach students from a variety of disciplines, including majors in Engineering, Sciences, Mathematics, Education, Business, and the Liberal Arts. Teaching with innovative pedagogies is encouraged.

Qualifications: ● A Master’s degree or higher in computer science, data science, mathematics, or a related field, and ● demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level. Also desired are: ● ability to use technology effectively in the classroom; ● demonstrated interest in and experience with innovative pedagogies; and ● understanding of and experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion issues in STEM and beyond.
