The William G. Lowrie Dept. of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering is a top-25 program located in a new, $125M, 225,000 square foot building, offering outstanding lab facilities and vast opportunities for collaborative research throughout Ohio State, one of the world’s largest and most comprehensive universities featuring a diverse group of the best and brightest. Position Overview

This position is partially funded by Ohio State’s Sustainable and Resilient Economy program (SRE) in the Discovery Themes Initiative, a substantial faculty hiring investment in key thematic areas in which the university can build on its culture of academic collaboration to make a global impact. The candidate should be working in the area of process systems engineering with a track record and strong interest in contributing to efforts toward sustainable manufacturing. Opportunities are available for collaborative research toward sustainability and resilience of engineering systems through Ohio State's SRE program by working with interdisciplinary research teams. Areas of interest include but are not limited to process control and process design.

Demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality research.
Strong interest in teaching.
Ability to develop and maintain an active program of teaching and research in chemical and biomolecular engineering.

Experience Requirements

Required:
Ph.D. in chemical engineering or a closely related discipline, as well as a strong commitment to research. Competitive applicants will have a strong record of scholarly publication with the potential to sustain externally sponsored research funding, and will demonstrate a commitment to teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The incumbent should demonstrate intellectual leadership in their research field and a record of leading or working with interdisciplinary research teams. .
Experience working with and contributing to diverse learning environments.
