A full-time research technician position with benefits is available in the Baugh lab in the Department of Biology at Duke University. The Associate in Research will contribute to projects investigating heritable epigenetic effects of nutrient stress and mitochondrial toxicants on developmental physiology of the roundworm C. elegans. Candidates without a B.S. degree in the natural sciences will not be considered. Post-bac experience or an M.S. degree is desirable but not necessary. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to media and reagent preparation, bacterial culture, worm culture, basic phenotypic analysis of worm growth and development, molecular biology, and troubleshooting experiments.
