The L.E. Anderson Bryophyte herbarium in the Biology Department at Duke University (Bryophyte Herbarium) is looking to hire a technician to assist with curation of peat moss (Sphagnum) specimens and accession them into the herbarium collection. The successful candidate will work with herbarium staff to re-packet the specimens, assure that each has appropriate label data, mount the specimens on herbarium sheets, and help insert them into the existing collection. The person filling this position will be invited (but not required) to participate in our group of active researchers studying peat moss ecology and evolution.
