Coordinator for project in Advanced Art Market research for immediate appointment

Requirements: Recent PhD in Art History with strong competences in designing and implementing advanced, data-driven Art Market research. The Research Associate will work directly with the Duke Art, Law & Markets Initiative (DALMI), based at the Department of Art, Art History & Visual Studies at Duke University, to manage a major international research project. Primary responsibilities include project management, dealing directly with French, Dutch, German, Austrian and Spanish partners, coordinating meetings and synchronize daily communication between the Duke Primary Investigators and their international partners to design new research methods, oversee archival digitization and data management, and provide ongoing advice for partners and their research units on the use of data visualization and data analytical software. The Research Associate in Art Market Research should be familiar with data-driven research methods for the humanities and social sciences, with specific experience working with art markets data, inferential statistics and advanced applications, such as ArcGIS, Tableau, and OpenRefine, among others. Reading knowledge and conversational practice of French and Dutch is required.
