| The group of Dr. David Burghoff at the University of Notre Dame is currently seeking multiple postdoctoral researchers to conduct research in the area of semiconductor frequency combs and nonlinear optics, exploiting new physics to create unique sensing modalities. The lab has two newly-funded projects with openings, one that involves the creation of a new type of comb and another that involves the creation of a new sensing modality. Preferred qualifications: - Ph.D. in electrical engineering, physics, materials science, or related areas
- Hands-on experience in nanofabrication of semiconductor devices, especially in III-V devices. Experience in fabrication is ideal but not required.
- Solid understanding of optoelectronics, solid-state device physics, and nonlinear optics.
- Experience in developing and optimizing new fabrication processes.
