The Department of Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for two Visiting Assistant Professorships, starting on September 1, 2022. These are one-year, fulltime, benefited, non-tenure track positions that carry a reduced teaching load of 2-1 to allow the candidate to also conduct research and engage in service responsibilities. Contingent on the availability of funds and satisfactory performance, an extension for one additional year may be possible. The research area of interest is open to all fields in Computer Science. Research facilities and support of graduate students through teaching assistantships will be provided. Candidates should have received a PhD by the time the position starts, and should show outstanding promise of research ability as well as a capacity for effective teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
