The Department of Engineering at Reykjavik University invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Financial Engineering. The position can range from Assistant Professor to Full Professor, depending on the qualifications of the applicant and on formal assessment.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES • Research in finance and related fields. • Teaching courses such as corporate finance, fixed income and interest rate modelling, financial derivatives, valuation, portfolio management and digital finance at the undergraduate and graduate level. • Supervision of students at the bachelor, master and doctoral levels. • Participation in the administration of the Department of Engineering as appropriate, including development of study lines and course offerings.

QUALIFICATIONS: • A PhD in Financial Engineering, Mathematical Finance, Finance or a related field. • Relevant research experience documented by peer-reviewed publications in international academic journals. • Teaching experience at the university level and ambition for excellence in teaching. • Excellent English proficiency is a precondition. • Good interpersonal skills, initiative and ability to work independently.

Relocation assistance is available. Reykjavik University is a bi-lingual university where courses at the graduate level and a number of courses at the bachelor level are taught in English.
