ASSOCIATE IN RESEARCH POSITION – LABAR LAB, CENTER FOR COGNITIVE NEUROSCIENCE, DUKE UNIVERSITY The LaBar lab at Duke University seeks a talented associate in research to execute human subjects research on the cognitive neuroscience of emotion. The position is supported by NIH-funded grants on emotion regulation and computational approaches to emotion representation in the brain. State-of-the-art facilities include multimodal psychophysiological recording and fMRI scanning on research-dedicated 3T MRI scanners.

This position will involve coordination of all facets of human subjects research in the lab. Duties include participant recruitment, IRB protocol submission, running research participants on behavioral, neuroimaging, and psychophysiological experiments, organizing team meetings, supply maintenance, database management, and computer programming/statistical analysis.

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field. Prior experience in human subject experimentation is required; some exposure to neuroimaging, computer programming, or psychophysiology is preferred. The ideal candidate should possess good communication, organizational, and quantitative skills.
