The String Theory group at the Institut de Physique Théorique (IPhT) of CEA Saclay invites applications for multiple postdoctoral positions in the areas of conformal and quantum field theory, conformal bootstrap, quantum gravity, and AdS/CFT.

The positions, which will be for either 3 or 2+1 years starting in Fall 2023, will be funded by the IPhT and by ERC Starting Grant ''Scattering Strings and Other Things: A Modern Approach to Quantum Gravity and the Conformal Bootstrap''.

The faculty of the String Theory group will include Iosif Bena, Mariana Graña, Monica Guica, Dalimil Mazáč, Ruben Minasian, Eric Perlmutter, Pierre Vanhove and Nick Warner. Other members of the IPhT with overlapping interests include Brando Bellazzini, François David, Bertrand Eynard, Laura Foini, Gregory Korchemsky, David Kosower, Ivan Kostov, Sylvain Ribault, Didina Serban and Pierfrancesco Urbani. The IPhT has an active research environment spanning all areas of theoretical physics, a vibrant visitor and lecture program, and strongly-coupled interactions with other physics institutes in the Paris area (http://string.lpthe.jussieu.fr).

Candidates are invited to submit an application via the common European online postdoc interface:

https://itf.fys.kuleuven.be/postdoc-application/instructions

On that form, interested applicants should indicate their preference for Saclay (IPhT). The deadline is November 30. Further questions may be directed to dmazac@ias.edu or perl@ipht.fr.
