Junior Permanent Position in Theoretical Physics at IPhT
The Institut de Physique Théorique invites applications for a junior CEA permanent position in theoretical physics. Candidates working in the following scientific area will be considered with the highest priority:
« High-energy phenomena in quantum field theory, centered around scattering amplitudes, from particle physics to gravitational waves »
This position is roughly equivalent to a tenured assistant professorship, and there are no teaching obligations. The Institut de Physique Théorique (IPhT) is a joint Research Institute of CEA and CNRS, and is part of the Université Paris-Saclay. IPhT is a multidisciplinary institute, with a strong expertise in a wide range of topics in mathematical physics, gravity, string theory, high energy physics and particle physics, scattering amplitudes, cosmology, statistical physics, condensed matter physics and quantum information. It is located in the south of Paris, in a rich scientific environment (Université Paris-Saclay, Ecole Polytechnique). More details can be found at https://www.ipht.fr/en/.
Applications should include a CV, a statement of research interests, and a list of publications. Applicants should also arrange for the submission of at least three recommendation letters. All materials should be uploaded electronically to Academic Jobs Online.
Applications should be received by January 30th 2023 in order to receive full consideration. |
