Duke University is seeking smart, creative and highly motivated candidates with a PhD degree in physics, electrical engineering, materials science or closely related field. to work with in the area of experimental nanophotonics in Professor Maiken Mikkelsen's group in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University.

Experience with a strong background in one of the following areas: 1) novel photodetectors and/or multispectral imaging; 2) quantum optics and/or single photon sources; 3) two-dimensional materials; 4) nonlinear optical phenomena in subwavelength structures; 5) ultrafast optics. The postdoc will be expected to develop nanofabrication, perform optical experiments and conduct data analysis. Additional responsibilities include preparation of manuscripts/reports and to mentor graduate/undergraduate research assistants.
