The Department of Physics at the University of Florida (UF) has an opening for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor in theoretical particle physics to begin August 16, 2023. We seek highly qualified candidates from all areas of particle theory including beyond the Standard Model physics, string theory, collider physics, quantum gravity, cosmology, and dark matter studies.

This position offers the opportunity to interact with the Department’s research efforts in theoretical astrophysics and condensed matter physics, experimental particle physics (CMS, Belle II, DUNE), dark matter detection (ADMX, CDMS, ALPS) and gravitational wave detection (LIGO, LISA). It also provides access to the UF HiPerGator research computing center.
