Position Description Yale-NUS College is a highly selective liberal arts and science college in Singapore. Co-founded by Yale University and the National University of Singapore, the College is committed to excellence in research and teaching within a full residential programme that integrates living and learning. Its curriculum educates students in Asian and Western intellectual traditions as well as current scientific thought. The College is looking to hire a full-time Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Psychology. We seek a teacher-scholar who has demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching. We are particularly interested in candidates who are enthusiastic about teaching advanced seminars, foundational courses in subfields, introductory courses and/or interdisciplinary courses that bridge Yale-NUS majors. The position will be on a fixed-term contract of up to two years, starting in Academic Year 2023-2024. Requirements The successful candidate will teach five (5) courses per academic year. Courses are typically capped at 20 students, with opportunities to offer some courses twice in an academic year. The candidate will also assist with advising students, supervising final year projects (capstones), and other duties as needed. A PhD in a relevant field is required, with at least two (2) years of undergraduate teaching experience strongly preferred.
