We invite applications at the Assistant Professor level in the area of Mathematical Physics. The position is subject to availability of funding. Teaching and research in mathematics and related topics will be expected. Ideally, candidates will have skills and interest in teaching lecture courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on UC pay scales. The starting date for the position is July 1, 2023. QUALIFICATIONSBasic qualifications (required at time of application) Currently pursuing PhD in Mathematics or related field Demonstrated potential for a recognized program of excellence in both teaching and research. Additional qualifications (required at time of start) Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field prior to the first quarter of teaching Preferred qualifications Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion in higher education.
