The University of Melbourne invites applications for a postdoctoral position in dark matter phenomenology. This position is supported by the ARC Centre of Excellence for Dark Matter Particle Physics.

The position will be based at the University of Melbourne Parkville campus, working under the supervision of Prof Nicole Bell, A/Prof Matthew Dolan, Dr Andrea Thamm and Prof Raymond Volkas. The successful candidate will lead work on theoretical particle and astroparticle physics, with a particular focus on dark matter phenomenology. Collaboration with theorists and experimentalists across the ARC Centre of Excellence for Dark Matter Particle Physics will be encouraged. The position is offered for three years, with an anticipated starting date around September 2023, or another date by negotiation. The salary will be at University of Melbourne salary level A6 (which is currently $97,558 Australian dollars). A PhD by the time the position starts is required.

About you:

* A PhD or equivalent in theoretical particle or astroparticle physics or a related area

* Expertise in dark matter phenomenology

* Demonstrated aptitude for research with a sound record of peer-reviewed publications, commensurate with experience and opportunities
