The Cornell University Department of English invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track assistant professorship in African American Literature to begin July 1, 2019. Candidates may specialize in any period(s) of African American literature, including 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. Related areas of research may include but are not limited to the following: African diasporic literature, Afro-Latino literature, Black/Africana Studies, Black feminism, comparative ethnic literatures, creative writing, critical race theory, Global South studies, performance and media studies, queer studies.
