The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Redlands is seeking to fill a clinical professor position (10-month appointment) to begin in September 2021. The University of Redlands offers an ASHA-accredited graduate program with a strong commitment to the academic and clinical preparation of students in speech-language pathology and the academic preparation of undergraduate students in communication sciences and disorders.

Responsibilities include clinical supervision and clinical education in the area of Health Based Speech Language Pathology at the graduate level. Experience with health based clinical pediatrics, dysphagia, voice disorders, alternative clinical experiences and engaging in inter-professional practice is required. Experience in supervising graduate students engaged in clinical services is required. Experience in the development of new clinical programs/practicum for graduate clinical training in Alternative Clinical Experiences and Inter-professional Practice is preferred. Classroom teaching in topics related to the clinical populations identified above may be available. Applicants with diverse areas of expertise, with preference given to those with a background that includes an emphasis in health-based speech, language and swallowing disorders are encouraged to apply.

The University of Redlands seeks candidates who have experience working with students from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. The successful candidate will be expected to support the College of Arts and Science’s new general education curriculum for undergraduate students.

The University is located sixty miles east of downtown Lost Angeles, in a town of 70,000. The campus is surrounded by orange groves and sits at the base of the San Bernardino Mountains, one hour from the coast, and 45 minutes from Palm Springs. POSITION CRITERIA: Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (or equivalent), a CCC-SLP from ASHA, and eligibility for a state license are required. We welcome applicants with diverse areas of expertise, with preference given to those with a background that includes an emphasis in health based speech-language pathology. Experience in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level is desirable, as is a background that includes supervising students who provide clinical services.
