The Oklahoma State University High-Energy Physics group invites applications for up to two postdoctoral fellow positions to work on the ATLAS experiment.

Our group currently participates in b-tagging calibrations, development of b-tagging for long-lived particles, large-R jet identification and energy calibration, and a variety of physics analyses in the areas of top quarks, Higgs bosons, and searches for new physics predicted by SUSY and exotic models. The group is also heavily involved in the Phase 2 ATLAS Inner Tracker (ITK) upgrade work, focusing on the development of electrical services for inner pixel detector and optimization of the b-tagging performance for the future tracker.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in physics by the date of appointment. The postdoctoral fellows are expected to play a leading role in physics analysis, contribute to the Phase 2 ITK upgrade, and actively mentor Ph.D. students. The positions will involve frequent travel to CERN or residency at CERN. The initial contract will be for one year, with the expectation of renewal for three to five years provided adequate performance and availability of funding.

Interested candidates should submit a curriculum vitae, summary of research experience (one page), a brief statement of research interests (one page), and arrange for at least three letters of recommendation. All these are to be uploaded to Interfolio ( http://apply.interfolio.com/94487). Applications will be reviewed as they arrive. Full consideration is guaranteed for all material received by January 7, 2022; however, applications received after that date will continue to be considered until both positions are filled. All positions are contingent upon available funding. Any questions should be directed to Dr. Flera Rizatdinova (flera.rizatdinova@okstate.edu).
