The Department of Physics at Oklahoma State University (OSU) invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics (CMP). We encourage applications from candidates with a proven track record of research in all areas of hard condensed matter physics. Areas of interest include but are not limited to: advanced synthesis and characterization of materials, especially magnetoelectronic or heat transport and/or novel devices for electronic or optoelectronic applications. A significant plus is demonstrating the capacity to collaborate and synergize with existing CMP and other research groups across OSU. The current CMP group at OSU consists of three experimentalists and one theoretician who works closely with the experimentalists. The successful candidate is expected to attract extramural research funding, advise Ph.D. students, publish scholarly articles and teach effectively at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

The appointment is at the Assistant Professor level, with an expected start date of August 15, 2023. As a Carnegie-R1 comprehensive research university, OSU offers ample opportunities for the successful candidate to develop a research-intensive career.
