The Niels Bohr Institute High-Energy group and the Niels Bohr International Academy invites expressions
of interest for Postdoctoral Fellowships in theoretical high energy physics with a starting date in the fall of 2022. The group has broad interests in many main areas of high energy physics and string theory, including, for instance, scattering amplitudes in gauge and gravity theories, strong coupled super-Yang-Mills theory, thermodynamics of gauge theories, integrability in AdS/CFT, defect conformal field theories and their string theory duals, multi-loop Feynman integrals, applications of algebraic and differential geometry techniques and integral basis determination, precision QCD computations, general relativity and post-Minkowskian observables from amplitudes, particle phenomenology.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to guide more junior fellows, teach courses at various levels, participate in outreach activities, and organize international meetings. To
receive full consideration, interested candidates should upload the material requested below
before December 1st, 2021. The search will remain open until optimal candidates are found.
The Niels Bohr International Academy and the Niels Bohr Institute High-Energy group function as a primary center for fundamental research including string theory, field theory at strong coupling, theoretical cosmology, high-energy particle physics and gravity, and astroparticle physics. We have an extensive program of visiting scholars throughout the year and sponsors conferences and workshops on a broad range of topics. Many members of the Academy are part of the Theoretical Particle Physics and Cosmology Group at the Niels Bohr Institute. Fellows receive a competitive salary (including pension) and funds for travel and computing. Generous parental leave, state-subsidized childcare, vacation, and full medical care are provided to employees in Denmark. A favorable tax scheme is generally granted to international researchers. The University of Copenhagen wishes to reflect the diversity of society and welcomes all qualified candidates regardless of personal background. The primary criterion for the evaluation of candidates is the excellence of their research. To guarantee full consideration all material should be received before December 1st, 2021. Later uploads will be considered until a decision has been taken. |
