The Department of Computer Information Systems at Georgia State University invites applications and nominations for a tenure track Associate Professor faculty position. The position is open to candidates with an established publication record. Minimum requirements are an earned Ph.D. in Information Systems or a related discipline from an AACSB accredited university or international equivalent, a record of scholarly publications commensurate with rank, and a demonstrated ability of teaching within Information Systems. Ideal candidates will have significant academic experience, a deep understanding of information technology (IT), and be able to articulate a coherent research focus. They will possess strong theory development skills and be able to apply cutting-edge methodologies (e.g., multi-level modeling, social network analysis, econometric methods, psychometric methods). They will have a record of prior publications and a strong trajectory of future publications in the premier IS journals (e.g., MIS Quarterly and Information Systems Research). Publications in widely regarded premier journals of other business and related disciplines (e.g., Management Science, Academy of Management Journal) that complement publications in premier Information Systems journals will be seen as a plus. Ideal candidates will also have complementary skills to enhance the quality of the Ph.D. program and teaching capabilities that include executive graduate programs (e.g., specialized masters programs as well as college-wide interdisciplinary programs).
