The Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics of the Brigham and Women's Hospital seeks a junior faculty member in biostatistics to join our growing program.

Applicants should have excellent graduate training in biostatistics or statistics and may have additional research experience.

We are a world-leading research division at Harvard Medical School that studies the use, effectiveness and safety of medical products in clinical practice. We have direct access to large amounts of up-to-date patient-level longitudinal data. Our biostatistics group collaborates closely with other biostatisticians, epidemiologists and physicians, both internally and at the nearby Harvard Medical School and T.H. Chan School of Public Health, to implement research studies. In addition to the ongoing applied research activities, we have a portfolio of methods-focused projects funded by the FDA and NIH, many of which aim to improve estimation of causal treatment effects in non-randomized data.

An academic rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training and achievements. The successful candidate will collaborate and provide statistical guidance in ongoing research projects, build their own research program, and engage in teaching and mentoring students in the classroom and within the division. Further information about our research programs can be found at www.DrugEpi.org. Please send a c.v. and a cover letter describing your interest to Sebastian Schneeweiss, M.D., Sc.D. Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School and Chief, Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics, via e-mail at lseton@bwh.harvard.edu.

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, pregnancy and pregnancy-related conditions or any other characteristic protected by law.
