The McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University, Washington DC invites applicants for a full-time non-tenure line teaching position. We are looking for applicants at the Assistant Teaching Professor level. The school has a particular interest in applicants with academic interest in and experience teaching graduate students in the domestic public policy process and program evaluation. The ideal candidate will have a doctorate in Sociology or Political Science and a proven ability to mentor students, oversee capstone projects, and administer academic programs. Specific duties include facilitating relationships with partner institutions who sponsor students in the Master of Policy Management (MPM) Program, developing and delivering on-line classes, and teaching mid-career professionals. In addition to proven teaching effectiveness, preference will be given to candidates who have high-level and diverse professional experience in national-level policymaking. The teaching load is two courses per semester and administrative work managing the MPM Program.
