The McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure line track teaching position starting in Fall 2023. The position is for one year, with the possibility of extending to a multi-year contract. The McCourt School is a top-ranked public policy school located in the center of the policy world in Washington, D.C. Our mission is to teach our students to help design, analyze, and implement smart policies and put them into practice in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors in the U.S. and around the world. We strive to become the most inclusive public policy program in the country.

The successful candidate will teach Public Management and related courses (six total over the year) primarily to students in the MPP (Master in Public Policy) program and may be asked to teach in the MPM (Master of Policy Management) program, depending on demand. Applicants should be committed to excellence in teaching and advising students from diverse personal, educational, and professional backgrounds. Applications must be received by March 31, 2023. Virtual (Zoom) interviews with all shortlisted candidates will be conducted.

Terminal degree in political science, public policy, public administration, or equivalent professional experience

Experience in teaching, preferably at the graduate level

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

Availability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as necessary

Start date: Fall 2023
