The McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University, Washington, DC invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure line, Assistant Teaching Professor. The School has a particular interest in applicants whose teaching expertise indicates a proven ability to mentor thesis students conducting quantitative research across a wide-variety of topic areas and across national boundaries. The School also seeks applicants with demonstrated skills in teaching intermediate level microeconomics, international political economy, and the economics of the European Union. In addition to their teaching responsibilities, preference will be given to individuals who maintain a research profile, who are engaged professionally with the policy disciplines, and who are willing to perform service to the School. A Ph.D. in Economics or Political Science is required, and one or more years of teaching excellence are preferred.

The position is for a fixed term of three years, with teaching responsibilities to begin in the fall of 2017.

The McCourt School was established in 2013 with a generous naming gift which allows for faculty expansion, a Massive Data Institute, and a new Institute of Politics and Public Service.
