A postdoctoral position at the rank of Research Associate is available in the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science at Lehigh University. The successful candidate needs a background in probabilistic computational models and will work on a new exciting project that spans the areas of Civil Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. 

The following characteristics are being considered as desirable for the selection of candidates, but it is not necessary to satisfy all of them: 

• being capable of coordinating the day-to-day activities of a new project, involving several students and reporting to two supervisors in two departments;
• being proficient with numerical analysis and programming; 
• being familiar with random functions and probabilistic modeling in general; 
• being familiar with PDEs, Stochastic PDEs, and their numerical solution. 
Previous experience with high-performance computing will be considered a bonus. 

The initial appointment will cover one year, with the possibility to be extended until June 2017, with a competitive salary and benefits package. Interviews are already being held, so interested candidates are encouraged to submit their application as soon as possible.
