About HIT(Shenzhen):
Research projects: Active colloids in complex environments-experiments
Active colloids are colloidal particles that self-propel in liquid. They are useful as prototypical nanorobots for biomedical and environmental applications. On a fundamental level, there is strong interest in using active colloids to understand active matter that show collective behaviors in nature.
For more information on active colloids, see:

This project examines the dynamics of individual and collections of active colloids in complex environments, including obstacles, gradients and flows. The goal is to understand how these environments affect the dynamics of active colloids, and explore any possible two-way coupling between the environment and colloidal dynamics. Finally, this project aims to develop innovative strategies to control active colloids in complex environments.
