About the Role

The Centre for Geometry Analysis and Gravitation (GAnG) of the School of Mathematical Science is seeking up to three outstanding theorists working in the following fields: quantum or conformal field theory (QFT or CFT), black hole physics, holography and AdS/CFT, de Sitter (cosmology, field theory, gravity), quantum information, and/or matrix models. The successful candidate will hold (or be about to receive) a PhD (or equivalent) in physics or mathematics and have expertise in aspects of theoretical physics relevant to the position mentioned above. Moreover, they are expected to work with academics, postdocs and PhD students in the School, and bring research experience in several of the key areas mentioned above. They will be required to have strong analytical skills, to be an effective team player and to be able to work independently.
