The Department of Physics at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking to fill a Research Associate position in Computational Systems Biology. The successful candidate will work with Prof. Reka Albert and participate in one or more collaborative projects within the Center for Systems Biomedicine. The general aim is to identify emergent organizing principles of biological systems, develop predictive models, and validate these principles and models through experimentation. The ideal candidate should have experience with network analysis, discrete and continuous dynamic modeling, and network control. Requirements include a Ph.D. in Physics or other quantitative science and significant experience with modeling biological systems. The successful candidate will be an excellent interdisciplinary communicator and team player. In addition, (s)he will exhibit great initiative and will be given significant freedom to pursue the best approaches toward success.
