The Institute for Theoretical Physics of the Albert Einstein Center for Fundamental Physics at the University of Bern expects to have one or more postdoctoral positions available, starting in October 2018. The faculty at the institute consists of Thomas Becher, Matthias Blau, Gilberto Colangelo, Jean-Pierre Derendinger, Christoph Greub, Mikko Laine, Susanne Reffert, Urs Wenger and Uwe-Jens Wiese. Research areas include collider physics, effective field theories, thermal field theory, flavour physics, lattice gauge theory, string theory and supersymmetry. Interested candidates should submit their applications including a CV, a list of publications and a short description of their research interests, as well as three letters of recommendation. Due to new rules concerning funding provided by the Swiss National Science Foundation, for many of our positions the applicants should have at most three years of postdoctoral experience at the time that they start here. Priority will be given to applications submitted before December 1, 2017. |
