The Physics Department of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, located in Cambridge, MA invites applications for a faculty position in all sub-fields of experimental atomic, optical and molecular physics, including, but not limited to, ultracold quantum gases, ion trapping, atom interferometry, quantum nonlinear optics, and precision measurements.

Faculty members at MIT conduct research, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and supervise graduate and undergraduate participation in research. Candidates must show promise in teaching as well as in research. A Ph.D. in physics or physics-related discipline is required by the start of employment. Preference will be given to applicants at the Assistant Professor level.

Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and a brief description of research interests and goals (the latter NOT TO EXCEED 3 PAGES IN LENGTH).
